BTS Arts Teacher Highlight – Jared Nicholson

Jared Nicholson has spent his career in all levels of music education, including K-12 and university teaching. In addition to his work as a music educator, Mr. Nicholson is an active performer in the St. George area, including the Southwest Symphony, the Rebel Jazz Band, and the orchestra at Tuacahn Amphitheater.

Mr. Nicholson has a very warm and inviting classroom, and students feel his passion. They understand innately that they can be creatively free to express themselves.  Mr. Nicholson believes in providing a positive, welcoming atmosphere where students feel safe and included in the music-making process. One emphasis of all he does when teaching is students’ ability to feel and keep a steady beat and develop rhythmic independence. These fundamentals of music allow all students to feel successful in the creative process.

We are so thankful to have Mr. Nicholson as a BTS Arts educator!
