Literature Review- Science, Music and Visual Arts

Debbie and Trish offer some great integration ideas for science, music, and visual art in this UofU regional PD.  They incorporate several books as springboards for music, visual art, and dance lessons.

Here are the books they review:

“Swirl by Swirl,” by Joyce Sidman and Beth Krommes, a book that reveals the many spiral shapes found in nature.

“I Am the Storm,” by Jane Yolen and Heidi E.Y. Stemple, a book that looks at the power of nature.

“It Looked Like Spilt Milk,” by Charles G. Shaw, a book that inspires creativity.

“Sky Tree,” by Thomas Locker, a beautiful book that illuminates science through art.

“Feathers and Hair, What Animals Wear,” by Jennifer Ward, explores what type of skin animals wear.
