Sharing Student Work Through Video- A Peek At Greenwood Charter School Art

It’s hard to believe April is here!  As we come to the end of the school year many of you will host online or in-person celebrations.  Lydia Stewart from GreenWood Charter in Ogden shares the work her students have done with parents through a short video.  It’s a great way to advocate for the BTS program and its benefit to students.  In this video, Lydia shares the awesome integrated visual art projects that her students participated in throughout the year.

This blog was written by Lydia Stewart.  Lydia Romney Stewart is a Beverley Taylor Sorenson Art Educator at GreenWood Charter School in Harrisville, Utah.  She graduated from BYU-Idaho with a Bachelors in Elementary Education and has over seven years of teaching experience.  She often dreamed of becoming a teacher, evident at an early age when she was lining her dolls and toys in careful rows along the stairs for a school lesson.  Although they were a much easier audience back then, she still relishes the chance to make a positive impression on a child.  Lydia also has a longtime passion for all of the arts, participating in many choirs, dance classes, plays, and any art class she could manage to fit into her schedule.  It’s been a delightful career shift for her to be able to merge her two passions together after she acquired her Elementary Visual Arts Endorsement.  Lydia has written and illustrated a couple children’s books, and loves to travel, write poetry, paint, and sketch, when she finds time between her four kids and amazing husband.
